Meet Dr. Sybo
Dr. Brian Sybo was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and earned his bachelors in Biological Chemistry Summa Cum Laude at Kent State University where he graduated as a member of Phi Beta Kappa—an honors fraternity that recognizes students from around the country that are in the top one percent of their graduating class. In addition, he was involved in the Birnberg Research Fellowship where he partook in a publication for his ten-week research investigating stem cells. He then obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Columbia University in New York City where he received several awards and accolades.
Dr. Sybo went on to earn his medical degree at Louisiana State University Health Science Center where he completed one year of general surgery residency. Following Medical school, he concluded his advanced specialty training in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Shortly after working private practice in Tampa, Florida, Dr. Sybo was recognized as one of the two “Top Oral Surgeons in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology” by Tampa Bay Magazine.
With his extensive training, Dr. Sybo provides the full-scope of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures with special interests in extensive dentoalveolar and complex bone grafting cases, dental implants ranging from single cases to full mouth rehabilitation, orthognathic surgery, simple and complex trauma, temporomandibular joint surgeries and management, facial reconstruction, and evaluation and treatment of various forms of pathology. He has also trained extensively on in-office sedation and general anesthesia.
In addition, Dr. Sybo is a firm believer that learning never ends—he is passionate about attending continuing education courses and lectures on different aspects of oral surgery that will provide him with invaluable knowledge. He believes in an evidence-based surgical approach and employs materials and techniques that have been thoroughly tested and studied. Dr. Sybo leads an active lifestyle—during his spare time, he enjoys any form of physical activity both indoors and outdoors. Moreover, Dr. Sybo is a food enthusiast, and loves tasting and experiencing new cuisines as much as he enjoys cooking during his leisure time.
