Cone Beam 3-D Dental Imaging System

The i-CAT Cone Beam 3-D Dental Imaging System provides high-definition, in-office, three-dimensional imaging at a reduced cost and less radiation to the patient than traditional CT scans, and delivers quicker and easier image acquisition. 3-D imaging is rapidly replacing traditional two-dimensional radiography in OMFS because it offers high resolution three dimensional views of critical dental anatomy such as impacted 3rd molars and potential dental implant sites and their proximity to such vital structures as the nasal cavity, sinus walls and critical bone borders.

3-D imaging allows us to detect and evaluate problems, accurately measure jaw and bone deformities, and detect other pathologies such as tumors and cysts. 3-D dental imaging provides patients with more accurate information and assists in offering better diagnosis and treatment.

The high-resolution volumetric images produced by the i-CAT provide full 3-D views of critical anatomy for more thorough analysis of bone structure and tooth orientation allowing precision and accuracy in dental implant planning and surgery.

Scans are useful in most areas of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (including dental implants, orthognathic surgery, oral pathology, TMJ disorders, impacted teeth, and facial trauma).
